Yes,as Wernnertroms thread points out the B to B has become a sleeping therapy.

The orders now seem to flow much like Martin Anstice indicates - evenly and with far out guidance / visibility.

I think the black swann event would be the only thing that upsets the time table of future equipment generations from evolving.

The current equipment makers out there now, have survived the cut throat competition / market share gains that result in excess component inventory, and are now rationally allocating capital the prevent channel stuffing and write offs that newer technologies can force.

This sector is a very well behaved growth sector, with dividends and buybacks being the norm as a continual stream of new products with greater capabilities at reduced prices and fat margins seems continual.

Of course that rare combination requires a lot of R&D - the kind that very few upstarts can have.

The moats get bigger and deeper and the existing players become almost like the big pharma houses.

It has evolved very nicely.
