Engineering question......................Google is pulling out all of its engineers out of Russia. Google also accounts for 1/3 of all searches in Russia.

themoscowtimes.com

my question is this....could the Russian government completely block Google or any other undesirable internet content provider from the Russian internet? Is this technologically possible?

Here we concern ourselves with the CIA or FBI spying on our cell phones and internet devices.

I did see an article in the Moscow Times about a techie that could make people disappear from the internet. This is necessary because wealthy families want their identity and the identity of their children kept secret. (for security reasons). His method is pretty slick. Suppose your name is Kirk Kaminsky and your family uses google,(gmail) facebook, and twitter to keep incontact with each other.

One of his solutions is to create at least 200 Kirk Kaminsky profiles identical to the real Kirk Kaminsky and scatter those profiles all over that part of Russia. A would be black mailer or crook becomes lost in the mess.

He charges a minimum of $50,000 dollars for a start.....and business is very good.

This might be model that could be used in the US if there was a need for it.
