Correct that this is hindsight..

I would think or hope the owners of this stock had some idea that something bad might be happening...
Your thoughts are valid.. Holding over night can cost you.. I consider myself a Day trader. But I will hold overnight if I think the stock or market merits it...I will even hold a few weeks if I think I will benefit in the long run... It is somewhat a case by case basis.. Keep imformed is your responsiblity...

Regards
Don

"There are not many that gap down this heavily, or I just haven't seen them. "

You mean there is an extremely low probalility of such a thing happening? But the fear brings about a Major rule.

A sports car driver was asked by a reporter. "How do you get the nerve to drive on the edge of death?"

The driver asked, "what do you want to do, die in bed?"

The reporter, being what they are, said "yes"

The driver said " then how do you get the nerve to go to sleep at night?"

If the fear of the unknown brings about this rule during market hours, soon someone may get down to 2 hours a day to trade, always wanting it to be shorter.
