Gottfried...you are right about unused cards......Thats my point about inactivating cards not being used...Its easier to re-activate an unused card than it is to apply for a new one.

If stolen card numbers keep causing problems I would think people would gravitate to cash.

I've seen patrons in a restaurant booth give the waiter person a credit card with which to pay a bill and then ten minutes later return with the card and a receipt. In my opinion that's just asking to get ripped off.

Who knows how safe the restaurants servers are? Or how reliable the help?
