Hi SAM,

Now don't you know I had the answer to that question.lol

The way economic sanctions are flying around oil and trying to choke off Iran's nuclear capabilities it could be a war in Iraq - a grab for oil or Ukraine a grab for Europe with Russian enclaves.

One sure footed way to get inflation and growth is fiat money that funds war.

Lots of war = lots of destruction.

SWAG at the very best.

I think one benefit of this oil decline certainly shores up the US DOLLAR as the world currency.

Remember when Russia, China, and Iran were talking about a basket of currencies to sell oil.

That dog no longer hunts now.

I'll give you credibility that the decline in 2008 with a collateralized collapse of real estate does parallel the clo's of oil.

Both were all but universally immune from declines in the average guys perception.

The oil market is small compared to the housing mortgage market - even in an inflated world.

Housing prices were not hedged but some of oil has been (15%).

At any rate I appreciate your study / decision making process , which guides on how to make an anticipative judgement / call.

Its great thinking regarding both alternatives.

As a trader very much lacking in nimbleness - I've studied EW as it presents keeping an open mind regarding the market.

Some hang in there and that too is a lesson to be learned.

My best guess is we are nearing the end of a of a new corrective wave 4 -guessing a Santa Claus rally will be the b of 4.Then ugly into tax selling and the first few days of January.

So my gift to you for Christmas is a chunk of coal.LOL

Henry thinks we are still in 3( I think) which has more to go

I do assume oil will stay low.

Living in Houston - I've seen fracing grow for over 15 years - most think it is new -its explosive growth is new.

I think the Saudi's are leaving Opec to fend on their own.

When it is all done and over - I believe and expect the Saud's to help Mexico mine the particulate shale oil in Mexico

When it is done and over on the near term ,fracing shale will be understood to be cheaper oil than deep water drilling in strange far off places on the corrupt and undeveloped African coast.

Ditto for Iran and Russia.

In there could be a black swann event??
