SPXU trades just like a stock. 100 shares @ 43.50 = $4350. The thing you need to watch is decay over long holding periods. Over time it will degrade more than you might think.

Personally I prefer options on the indices (SPY, QQQ, IWM, etc.) which have much more leverage than the 3X ETFs but you need to watch them like a hawk because they move extremely fast.

One advantage of options is that they don't require the 3-day clearing period like stocks. Close a transaction today and you have access to the funds tomorrow.

Looks like w0z gave you a pretty good answer... although I should add I never notice any slippage for the time I use that ETF... maybe if you held it for long period of time, but I don't know why anyone would want to do that when this is a bull market...
