Thanks. There was a bug in that if I was logged in it would now show. Others who were lifetime paid members like me had the same issue. I posted this to Dimi and he didn't reply but a few minutes later it started to work so I believe if you had ads turned off then you did not see Youtube videos. Now that is working.

Too bad they won't dust off the crystal ball and tell us how much growth and where for 2015!

Global semiconductor market set for strongest growth in four years in 2014, says IHS
Press release; Jessie Shen, DIGITIMES [Tuesday 23 December 2014]

Worldwide semiconductor market revenues are on track to achieve a 9.4% expansion in 2014, with broad-based growth across multiple chip segments driving the best industry performance since 2010, according to IHS.

Global revenues are expected to total US$353.2 billion in 2014, up from US$322.8 billion in 2013, said IHS. The nearly double-digit-percentage increase follows respectable growth of 6.4% in 2013, a decline of more than 2% in 2012 and a marginal increase of 1% in 2011. The performance in 2014 represents the highest rate of annual growth since the 33% boom of 2010.

"This is the healthiest the semiconductor business has been in many years, not only in light of the overall growth, but also because of the broad-based nature of the market expansion," said Dale Ford, VP and chief analyst at IHS Technology. "While the upswing in 2013 was almost entirely driven by growth in a few specific memory segments, the rise in 2014 is built on a widespread increase in demand for a variety of different types of chips. Because of this, nearly all semiconductor suppliers can enjoy good cheer as they enter the 2014 holiday season."

Of the 28 key sub-segments of the semiconductor market tracked by IHS, 22 are expected to expand in 2014. In contrast, only 12 sub-segments of the semiconductor industry grew in 2013.

More Turbo Tax Discussion here where it is not OT.

I learned today that the lower cost "Deluxe" version of Turbo Tax won't upload stock transactions and if you enter them manually, you can't efile! To do what we could do last year, we have to buy the more expensive "Premiere" or TurboTax Home & Business 2014 Fed + State + Fed Efile Tax Software + Refund Bonus Offer

I wrote a polite letter explaining my situation and how I do most of it myself but like many features, didn't think it was fair to have to pay for a much more expensive version of what worked well in the past. I said I usually buy at Costco or Amazon, whichever is cheaper when I search the internet. I got a nice note back with a phone number saying they will upgrade me for free from Deluxe after I buy it to whatever version I want and said Costco had the best price today... They said they made the offer to those who bought directly from them but were not able to with Costco and Amazon buyers.... so they do this.

I ordered it today from Costco. $39.99 plus tax and includes S&H. Amazon is $10 more unless you pay for Prime then it is the same $39.99. I noticed Costco had the home business version for only $15 more so I'll upgrade to that via phone to do my Sch C. It could be worth $15 extra to most just to have stock trades upload automatically... but they used to do it for free.

BTW, wouldn't it be great if we passed a law that outlawed payroll withholding and required the IRS to TAKE the money out of worker's bank accounts or require the workers to make quarterly estimated payments like those of us who are self employed? It is FAR more painful and we are far more aware of how much (or little if you windsurf too much rather than work to pay higher taxes) taxes take from our pay....

BTW, if anyone wants to order from Amazon or CostCo and needs the email address and my short note to modify to get the free upgrade, send me an email NO PMS! Get my email address on my web site.

<PISS AND MOAN ON>
Fracking CA charges tax on the full $49.99 as the $10 Off is a "rebate" or some such nonsense! How do they get away with this? I hate it! I recently bought a laptop computer at Costco for my girlfriend (i7, 16GB RAM with an optical drive) that was $350 off and I had to pay the tax on the full price... that is a lot of extra money.... and seems like BS to me!!! Feel free to explain why this is "fair" .....
<you're kidding... you really think I Can Turn Piss and Moan off?>
