did russia capture konigserg in the course of beating back any one of enough german aggression?

if so, fair and square, and if not, return to original sovereign would seem to be in order, however i suppose the composition of current residents may make the matter unrealistic

Agreed--not sure why the Allies agreed to it in the first place---
probably missed the best chance to redraw the map
with the breakup of the Soviet Union--might have been some leverage at that time.

But the main point is that it is not part of Poland as claimed earlier.
Poland did get some other choice German territory.
