Ceramic engines will make a huge impact on fuel cells... They will be cheaper and far more efficient since they run @ levels 2 -3 times hotter! - Far cleaner burns - not as clean as fuel cells, however they fit into today's systems!

If fuel cells do take off - they will likely need a fly wheel! - The fuel cells don't handle peek power loads - so a small booster will likely be part of the equation!

The most important componeant to a fuel cell is the membrane, dupont would be a likely benificary of this!

Ford and Daimler are not going to be blindly throwing money at projects that may end up at a dead end. Both have large sums of money tied up with Ballard. Yes, they do own part of the market cap of $1.5 bill., this is serious money on a serious project. Again, if you doubt the potential of Ballard, go short. One of us will be right, let's leave it at that.
