If it's Fry's don't trust the ad - check the store
and make sure they have more than a few. But point
definitely taken. The Asian currencies won't work
themselves out in a week or two - make it 6 mos to
a year to many years. Only the strongest will survive.

Makes one wonder how cheap the commodities (steel etc), techs
(DD's semis etc.), and multinationals will be a year from now,
and is it time to read the writing on the wall?

GM, look at the bright side. The faster drive prices drop, the more stock you can pick up for the same amount of money (of course, if you're already fully invested, you might not be all that happy about it).

I'm sitting on the sidelines at the moment, wondering whether to get back in, and wondering if I did buy QNTM or WDC again (but definitely no more APM, which looks like a bottomless hole), would I lose even more than I already have.

Next year better be better for all of us, or the market will need to get some fresh blood (but then there are always new victims/victors).

P.S. Did you ever post that report on your opinion on VectorVest as a worthwhile tool?

To all,

Maxtor has been dumping drives for some time. The end of November I picked up my 2.1 GB (small in comparison) hard drive for $99.00.
Cost per GB of the 6.4 G.B. is less than what I paid for the 2.1.

It would be interesting to compare the recent drop in ram prices compared to the drop in the prices of the hard drives.
