Michael:

Unprepared Franklin Lake material subjected to a standard lead fire assay gives numbers like .065 ozs.per ton/Au. This is a granted. Ledoux has been operating on that basis as a given for some time now. What higher numbers reveal is that it is the preparation process that unlocks the values. To retrace old ground and pay money for those assays just to convince the public may be one way to do it. However, even if Naxos were to do that, there would be many persons/entities that would want to see other labs involved. Your proposition has merit - IF - it were something that Naxos had not tried before - but it has been tried over and over again with the same results - namely numbers that are much lower than that of the prepared material.

For your information, Ledoux has run standard lead fire assays on the head ore on several ocassions for check purposes. This is good sense. The point in which we perhaps differ the most is this - you say that showing the splits - both using a standard lead fire assay but the first split being on head ore, and the other being on prepared material would be enough to convince the public. Naxos feels that any lab will do that sort of testing as a matter of course and that the truly convincing arguement would be to have multiple labs coming out with numbers that are truly reflective of the potential of Franklin Lake.

What these higher numbers in relationship to lower numbers serve to emphasize is not the material, but the process that has the capability of unlocking the precious metals from the Franklin Lake playa.
