How can anyone offend anyone else taking whatever stance they want on a thing which no one can be sure will even happen.

If we "offend" each other, boy talk about the thought police, huh!

Anyway, I love discussing it as it is not my doctrine, it is my idea of what the scriptures are saying to me when I read them and not what they are saying to the other people, because I see something else.

The last trump. That's very interesting. It is not the word trumpet, although all of the other "trumpets" in the bible, as in playing a trumpet, as in angels playing a trumpet is the "trumpet" word.

The last trump of Paul is trump. Look it up. Not a word for the musical instruments the angle plays, as in holy trumpet, which I believie might actually be played.

Also, a rapture theory of a large handful of God's "pets" going out before God slams the earth furiously, siimply seems more like my lLord and Savior and His Father than a sadistic madman who wants to see more of our blood spilled before He's satisfied.

Now, IF this is true, I'll understand that when I get there. I don't know.

Also, at the last "trumpet" we who are alive are caught up with them that are dead. There is no such hint of the dead rising with the living being taken out of here in the concept of the
"rapture". These are two things. One is an apple. One is an orange. I don't mix apples with oranges.

All I know is that at the end, when it is all done, there is something about the dead rising too.

Too far down the road for me, and too hard to understand. But that is NEVER mixed in with what Jesus warns the now living to do to
escape those thing which are coming. The word escape is not to escape as in running to hide so no one can find you. It is more the word to be lifted out of. Check it out and see what you think.
Never, never, never let anyone else do your Bible DD.

><>...Hi Bob,welcome and God bless you...><>

I know what you mean about offending some, but we must get the word of God out. The rapture theory as taught by many in the christian church today is not preparing the people of God for end times....It encourages people to sit on their salvation and wait for our Lord to Zap them out of here.

It also teaches the people of God to accept the spurious messiah! and that is the danger.

Below are 2 short posts I posted some time back Please view it for your consideration!

There is much more in the word of God that absolutely debunks the present teaching of Pre-trib rapture. It certainly is open for discussion, and that is key.! If people would stop being offended and instead disguss it with open eyes, ears and hearts, they would see that the "Rapture Theory" is not what God teaches through any of His prophets.....Not even Paul! And certainly not our Lord Jesus!

In my opinion it is not a question of being offended it is a question of having to really study the word of God for themselves, and not leaving it up to some men and their books.!

II Th 2:3
3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Have a blessed day Bob
