Hi Shalom,
Thanks for your post and the links. I have to print these out now and get the Hebrew/Greek Study Bible.
We are together on the issue that the "pre-trib" teaching does just what you said. Those who rely on that will not be prepared and will have no plan to escape the evil times. The thing I see when the whole end times issue is discussed is fear and the pre-trib teaching gives an escape from that fear. People get upset about it and it bothers them. They want to forget it if they can.

Once again I have to disagree with you because the bible clearly shows the Rapture and Christ's second coming as two entirely different events. The purpose of the Rapture is to take the church out of the world and bring us to the Father's house. The purpose of the second coming is to establish Christ's millenial kingdom.
At the second coming, the Mount of Olives will be split in two with a great valley forming from Jerusalem to the Jordan river. (Zech. 14:4-5)
Christians in the present age are assured that we will be delivered from the day of wrath.
1 Thess. 5-9
"9 For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
