It depends, Bill. If you define a hurricane as a large cyclonic storm in the Atlantic bordering the US, then indeed the numbers has gone down. But that is a small subset of such cyclonic storms whose numbers and intensity have been increasing on a global basis.

But y'all like to argue that a cold day in a particular place in the US 'proves' that global warming isn't happening. It is a nitwit argument, but that is all y'all have...

Being nitwits and all.

Bill, I said this before, and I'll say it again.

Bill Nye, the so-called "Science Guy," pointed to Hurricane Katrina as proof that global warming, or "global cooking" as he preferred to call it, is causing an increase in the number and severity of hurricanes.

His declaration was premature, of course, as we have all observed a decrease thereof since then.

But that's not going to stop the climate change zealots from pushing their pseudo-science alarmism.
