There is a very large amount of 200mm capacity coming online in the next 6 mos. 300mm capacity will not be at the expense of this effort. Probably looking at Sept before demand begins to catch up. A lot depends on continued strength in demand for processors and other chips. Memory is a dead duck unless Samsung goes under until 256MB DRAM gets into commercial production and the die size shrinks a bit.

BTW, the global capacity analysis I promised will not be publishable. I have been told by my boss that this info is company confidential and dire things will happen if I publish specifics (he reads this thread!). Oh well, I can say that with planned capacity increases, WFR will solidify its hold on second place among all producers, but SEH is not resting on its laurels.
