The technology value fund has performed extremely poorly during
the last three months. Its electronics stock picker, Kevin
Landis has made several bad calls during the last few months.
In early July, he was recommending IKOS in Barrons, when
it was around $20, and ultimately dumped it in October
when it was around $10. He was also recommending Triquint
just before it warned, and about two months ago was
recommending PAIR before it started its slide. Some
suspicious minds might think he was pumping stocks he was
about to dump, but it seems that he took a hit on all of
the above holdings.

I am not surprised that the Technology Vale fund does not
hold LSI, since the style of this fund has been to pick
semi companies in high margin areas: the programmable
logic companies (XLNX, ALTR, Lattice), the networking
chips companies (PMCS, LEVL), analog companies such as LLTC,
or Gaas chip makers such as TQNT. Provided you can buy these
stocks at a low price, this is clearly the best approach
to investing in the semi area.

Dipy:

I hope Bernard answered your question (see is post siliconinvestor.com.

Also considering that as you claim your an independent thinker and do not like to follow trends (ie. dont give a damn what else others do and rely on your own judgment), why do you care so much what this particular fund thinks or does?! You may as well look at T. Row. Price Science and Technology fund which has had a far better returns than TVFOX for the past 3 years (and they do hold a significant numbr of LSI shares)! You can call T. Row Price (they have a 1-800 number which unfortunately I dont have it with me- but you can ask 1-800-555-1212 to give it to you), and check out that fund!

In short just because Madona does not like Pavaroti does not make Pavaroti a bad singer!!
