A wave of nostalgia swept over me when I contemplated the 2000 portfolios.

Where have all the flowers gone?

1/16/15 Contest update
All it took was a sharp Swiss army knife wielded by a few gnomes to cut short the biotech stock rally. Yet, despite multiple CAR-T crashes, Friday’s rebound kept both the Contest median and the Nasdaq Biotech Index solidly in the black for the year.
At Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 9.08% YTD (vs. up 7.88% YTD a week ago) and the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 4.64% YTD (vs. up 3.16% YTD a week ago). The Nasdaq Composite Index, however, finished the week down -2.15% YTD (vs. down -.68% YTD a week ago).
Contest leader GENE’s portfolio got a big bump from TKMR and is now up 40.41% YTD. Holders of the week’s top gaining stock, FMI, OHM’s portfolio, up 29.54% YTD and OLIVIER’s portfolio, up 29.35% YTD, took over second and third place.
At Friday's close, 43 of the 51 Contest portfolios were in the black with an impressive 32 of the 51 beating the NBI. And the 206 Contest stock picks have an average YTD gain of 6.18%
Below is the Top Ten list. Also below are the Top 5 & Bottom 5 Stocks ranked by % Gained and % Lost YTD.
Portfolio adjustments: None
(All corrections, especially adjustments for splits, greatly appreciated.)
Enjoy the 3-day MLK weekend biotechies!
Peace & good health,
Bulba
