It won't show up as a low unless a trade actually takes place at that price. Don't forget what a bid/ask is: It is only an offer to buy your shares (bid) or sell you more (ask or asking price). The transaction can occur at any price but generally results in you selling to the MM's at the bid, buying from the MM's at the ask, or who knows what in between. You don't have to sell or buy if you don't want to! When the trade occurs it will show up as "last" on the DBC screen. If that trade is also the high or low for the day than the appropriate box will reflect that also.

The same occurs on the opposite end. They can raise the ask to whatever they want and it will not show as the days high unless a trade takes place at that price.

They lowered the bid to 4.09 but we were all smarter than they think we are and refused to sell!
