G, found time to test Macrium today and was very pleased with the imaging process (took 16 minutes) and made a rescue CD (although I have the original from Dell). It was so much more uncomplicated and straightforward to use than Easeus or Acronis that it will now become my primary disk imaging tool. I have not yet tested Macrium restore, but will do so on an older less critical computer when I find time. I have an older paid version of Acronis that I will now uninstall. I will convert my older paid version of Easeus to an updated free version just to have an alternate and file backup ability. Easeus for imaging is very good to change partition sizes or create partitions without loosing data. It may be me, but I have difficulty with Easeus drive selection for imaging from and to. My understanding is the Macrium free version will not do file backups. I may upgrade to paid Macrium after a little more experience.

Thanks to Eric and you for leading me to Macrium.
