Norm, This will no doubt be their downfall, because sooner or later, somebody will introduce a stable OS supported by enough products to start eroding their position in the market. A balloon that is waiting for a pin to burst it...

My kid had a fair amount of trouble getting NT all up and running also. Spent a lot of hours and even had to reinstall the OS to get it working. It is up and running now and is quite nice, very stable. Funny you mention somebody introducing a new OS. My kid used OS/2 running his BBS before the web exploded and according to him (I've witnessed it to) OS/2 is definately the most stable OS you can run on a PC, well at least before Linux came around and he has yet to use Linux. I use NT because I use high end CAD tools that unfortunately don't run under OS/2. I also much prefer the real and working drag and drop capabilities, and the GUI of OS/2 4.0 but I guess I'm just rambling because it doesn't look like OS/2 will ever get the developer support NT has. When I think of my OS/2 I kinda feel like I've been given a new 911 Turbo but it didn't come with a key. :o(
