Typhoons entering the Arctic via the Bering strait? When has this happened?

Bering strait is 51 miles wide.

Contrast that with the big gap between Greenland and Europe:

BTW there is a lot of climate lysenkoist talk about Arctic sea ice, which is said to be perpetually endangered. But what actually happens to arctic sea ice to diminish it? It's regularly blown out of the arctic ocean through the Greenland-Norway gap and melts when it hits the warm Gulf Stream waters. The Gulf stream sends warm water up the east coast of NA to western Europe making western Europe warmer than corresponding parts of NA and northern Asia.
