Yes the Atlantic off shore is a great accomplishment - especially for offshore deep drilling.

Pemex, the oil government owned monopoly of Mexico is in the process of opening up their portion of the Gulf of Mexico - another fertile area.

We of the North American Continent( USA Mexico, Canada) need to have an imported oil tariff that makes WTI more expensive than Brent (all other imported oil) .

If / when brent gets cheaper than WTI the tariff should slide up assuring a higher price for WTI. This tariff should go into funding an environmental insurance liability fund - in case of spills.

We should support our own energy companies doing exploration on our own land in a safe and ecologically smart way.
