HT: Barracuda

People did terrible deeds in the name of Democrats. Slavery in the South for one. Bull Connor ? He was on Democrat national committee. Jim Crow?--Democrat law etc etc

George Wallace, Bull Connor and Lester Maddox were all Democrats… By now you get the point.

Woodrow Wilson, a progressive Democrat, was a white supremacist who re-segregated the federal workforce. Segregationists were part of the New Deal coalition and were running mates even to liberal Democratic presidential candidates into the 1950s. In 1956, 99 of the 101 politicians who signed the racist “Southern Manifesto” were Democrats.

Long distance passenger travel by rail has been outdated by air travel and interstate highways.

Why not just go back to travel by covered wagons? Horses and oxen are renewable sources of energy.

They Criticized the Transcontinental Railroads Too

Of course. If conservatives had their way, we would still be living in mud huts or log cabins. Per usual, CA is taking the lead and showing the rest of the country the way to go.

Praise Jesus there is a California!

>>>Now as many of us know today, the decision to give the private railroads those rights of way and public land was a disaster for the country

Maybe one of the stupidest posts I've ever seen here. Or anywhere, really.
