think of all those notebook zips that can go with the ibm thinkpad

"The Japanese notebook PC market is the second largest in the world. The IBM ThinkPad series has total shipments of 4,700,000 units worldwide, of which 1,000,000 units were sold in Japan. Users who own two or three portable PCs are increasing in number, and the market is supposed to grow further"

Allen, thanks for your response. Yes, I have rejected and then reinserted the disk. When I do this, I get the message once again....Insert Disk #2.

I hate to call IOM as they will charge $14.95 for the call. (I guess I can look at this charge as helping to make profits and beat the Street's esimate. <ggg>)

<<<Re: the restore problem

I haven't encountered this myself. Have you tried ejecting the disk an reinserting it when it prompts for the second disk?>>>

Another reason for having a second removable disk drive . Data recovery. Merely leave the second disk in the second drive and the restore would be done without a hitch.
