Or better yet, you could call it a loss, and get a much better product. Take Syquest SparQ, for example. For a mere $199, you get the drive, plus 1 Gigabyte (as apposed to the measly 100MB offered by Zip) of powerful storage. For a shockingly low price of $99 extra, you can add a 3-pack of SparQ discs to bring the total up to 4 Iomega-crushing Gigs to the party, and never have to worry about storage ever again.

Oh...if by some chance you do want to buy SparQ discs individually, the steep price of $39 per disc will be charged. The same $$$ in Zip dollars? $130 yes...that's right...$130.( for a Gigapack of Zips).

If you can't see the great advantage in using SparQ over Zip, then there is a bridge about 3 miles to the South of me that I have for sale.

>>Allen, thanks for your response. Yes, I have rejected and then reinserted the disk. When I do this, I get the message once again....Insert Disk #2.

I hate to call IOM as they will charge $14.95 for the call. (I guess I can look at this charge as helping to make profits and beat the Street's esimate. <ggg>)<<

Another question is have you downloaded the update to 1-Step backup? They recommend it for all users who have Zip or Jaz drives. I don't know if it will solve your particular problem, especially if the backup was done with an older version, but it's worth a shot. Also, you might try searching the Iomega website for answers to this problem.

On the other hand, what is your time worth? Fifteen bucks isn't really a lot for good support. And they won't charge you if the problem is Iomega's fault, unless the fix was already available online.
