Rod, with all due respect ... Ha! I just love that wacky American sense of humour!! Gates is trembling in his boots. Look, even Ford is moving into niche specialist markets. Grief, work it out. A commodity tool is a commodity tool - no one gives a damn and they buy on lowest price, hence why all corporates are SPECIALISING - be it biscuits, cars, planes or - wake up - SOFTWARE. This ain't hard to see/work out. Unless you have a mass volume market you have to specialise. Heavens to betsy, pre '90s MBA stuff, this ...
