I am on my ninth SSD. The only one I have purchased that came with drive cloning software was the last one, this model from Samsung newegg.com

If you choose a different brand, you would just have to determine what model your HDD is and download the appropriate free software from Seagate or Western Digital.

Presuming that your “Documents” are on C:...
There is a relatively easy way to transfer them to your E: or other drive.

At least so in Win7. There is a built in utility in “Documents” that does this.
