Actually they saved Obama from failing to make a good deal. Now he can always blame the senate.

"He shall have Power, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Senate, to make Treaties, provided two thirds of the Senators present concur;" - Section 2, Article II, U.S. Constitution."

There can be no Treaty with a foreign government without the concurrence of 2/3 of the Senators.

Nasty Pelousy didn't have any problem going to Syria to undermine Bush

"Pelosi's visit was a new high-profile challenge to Bush by the majority
Democrats in Congress, who are taking a more assertive role in
influencing policy in the Middle East and the Iraq war."

The letter is a definitive and prosecutable violation of the Logan act.

Those guys are HELPING to get this deal through....

And they are helping to make it a BETTER deal.

If there was a bipartisan agreement in Congress that any deal with the Iranians would be great then it would help the rightwing in Iran to shut any deal down. (Believe it or not, Iran also has politicians).

If the U.S. can squeeze TOTAL transparency out of a deal with NO sanction relief until everything's verified then this would be the BEST deal the U.S. could get other than going to WAR with Iran.
