Dear Harvey: Compared to the clunky MSFT interface and file structure MacOS 8 is breakthrough. You see the reason you won't part from MSFT/Intel is that Gates saw how important it was to work with 3rd party vendors whereas Jobs did not: hence MSFT has all the latest 3rd party development built to accomodate the MSFT way of doing things whereas a Mac has to wait until they (the 3rd party folks) get around to it. Have you ever wondered why most print shops and art depts. use Macs. It is not because they don't work and not because they are slow. You are mad because you feel you have been captured along with the rest of the market by Wintel but that was the genius of Billy and the arrogance of Jobs. The VHS/BetMax metaphr is another perfect example of such an anomoly. JF Dowd
