Ya think?

The guy changing tires at Walmart would be costing Walmart at least $65/hour including taxes & benefits. Yeah, you're gonna get "some" inflation. Among other things.

At least a liberal nutjob finally gave an answer to the question. Since it has been asked thousands of times without anyone taking a shot at it.

And you got it. You're going to get a little inflation. Yeah, just a tad.

Not only that, you're going to get one hell of a lot of unemployment. Because anyone whose work isn't worth $65/hour is permanently unemployable. Which is fine by you because putting people on the government dole is your idea of Utopia.

Just nutjobs. Total, innumerate nutjobs.

we know for a fact that $11/hr. isn't too much, that is where it was in 1970
when adjusted for inflation.
The economy was in bad shape in 1970. I fact Nixon froze all wages and prices on specific things. They froze prices for specific items like T-Bone steak, sirloin, New York Strip, etc. So New York strip became Delmonico, LOL. The freeze did not work and the economy only recovered when Nixon abandoned the freeze. It was not great when Carter took over, and he did worse than Nixon!

CJ,
Yes, you'd probably get some inflation, but the main thing you would get would be wage compression.
No you won't. Like most liberal economic policies, you'll end up hurting the middle class, and the rich will continue to get richer.

Like I said, Seattle is driving out the small businesses and forcing the ones that remain to cut costs. Despite what the libtards like to think, these small businesses are not sitting on mountains of cash. Meanwhile, the rich businesses will just factor the higher cost of labor into whatever formulas they use to determine headcount, pricing, etc.
Um, you do know that slippery slope arguments are considered to be intellectually dishonest like straw man arguments are?
The point is that no one can define what a "living wage" is.

You want to make $15/hour working at a fast food joint? Fine, I want to make $300K/year playing video games for a living.

How much value are you actually creating? Not $15/hour worth.
