I think it should be intuitively obvious. The uninsured rate hits the highest point it has hit in decades right as insurance companies are cancelling policies in response to ACA's requirements. And there is no other reasonable explanation. So, that's pretty much seals it.

The employer mandate is legally required as of now. But Obama has illegally extended the implementation deadline. Ask yourself why. And frankly, we don't know whether the employer mandate will ever happen at all.

There is no reason at all to think the uninsured rate will continue to decline significantly. Hell, they are millions below where they expected to be and at this point can't even give it away. CBO has cut its forecast from 32 million to 24 million. And will likely cut it more next year.

People don't want this crap because the insurance is lousy compared to what many of us had to begin with.
