I would think a self driving car would be a perfect setup for falling asleep behind the wheel on a long road trip. It's boring enough when you have to pay attention to what you're about to run into.

I like to drive too but yesterday while passing Tesla's Deer Creek Road HQ turnoff on Page Mill Rd, I thought about all the things I could do rather than drive my windsurfing van up to Coyote Pt by SFO 80 to 100 times a year...

With the hotspot of my cell phone, I could do the half hour or work I do for my newsletter and personal investments when I get home where I download and do some calculations each night. I could also answer the emails so I'd be far less stressed trying to fit so much into the day...

Of course, if my girlfriend found out I generated extra time, I'm sure she'd figure out how to fill it....

I see the Google, Facebook, Apple, etc. vans on the road all the time too. My guess is they have wifi so the workers inside can count the time in the van as part of their work day, perhaps having meetings with Google Hangouts...

When I'm ready to buy my next windsurfing van, maybe 10 to 15 yrs away, it will probably have auto drive so it can take me to Crissy Field in SF to sail so I can work or relax in the back and not deal with the awful traffic that keeps me from sailing that beautiful site...
