Jay,

I appreciate your posts, as a voice of objective sanity in a world where everyone wants to cheer themselves into holding on while sliding into the abyss.

Things look very BAD. I just called a friend who handles Korean sales accounts for my old company (top Japanese back-end equipment co). He says that the Koreans have stopped paying for equipment. They need to get cash up front to sell any more to Korean companies, but you know the likelyhood of them paying cash up front. In other words, business with Korea will be on hold for a while, at least for this company.

I for one have sold all of my semi stocks, and I am starting to plan to buy. I need to decide to buy what stocks, and at what prices.

I was planning at buying at the 1996 lows, do you think this is reasonable, or do you think we will actually undercut these lows?

Shopping list:
SMTL the kings of Cu deposition (sleeper)
PRIA
SFAM
AMAT

Would it be safe to go in at the '96 low? If not, what is your target? With the exception of SMTL, these stocks still have a long way to fall.

Good luck and stay sane.....

THC

PS I am holding and possibly buying DPAC, as they are just breaking into commercial martkets and are trending UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BLOODSHED. Any comments?

Jay,

Where is a good site to get up to the minute DRAM prices, or charts of DRAM prices?

Thanks,
