Clint, Merry Christmas to you also. It might be a stretch to pray for bullish sentiment, as God may play dice with the averages or our appreciation of them, or as Einstein quipped he dosen't... at least not while his theory follows the tape.

A question. Which stocks would you say are absolutely critical within the tech sector, having market and intellectual dominance? I'm putting together a short list for some retirees and I realized I trade stocks more than own them.. which is what they want to do with a two to three year horizon. With so many of them down, this list will be used for purchases beginning with the worries during the next quarter or it things really sink going into January...

I've got 6200 as being possible on the Dow, although my bond model conflicts with that... we'll probably have more sever selling rotations instead as cash levels might not allow a broad based selloff much below 6850.

Prediction: We'll see and unexpected uptick in orders for semi equipment from areas like the Philipines, Malasia, India, China and other non-impacted by currency regions. While we and the world are bemoaning the struggles going on in S. Korea with pushouts and canceled orders, this very same weakness is a bright light of economic opportunity for other countries to beat the competition when its down. They won't be as developed in size, but they will sop up more than what's now expected in current stock pessimism. Two to six month wait for turn in sentiment.
