You're forced to defend a candidate who voted for the Iraq war. And who opposed gay marriage: Hillary Clinton in 2002: Yes to Taking Out Saddam Hussein, No to Gay Marriage ... When public opinion was clearly against gay marriage, so was Hillary. Now that the issue has become more mainstream, Hillary Clinton strongly supports it. This is what she does. As a senator, she voted for the Iraq War. Once public opinion began to turn, so did she.
