Ted,
Assuming you are not bisexual or pansexual, do you really believe you could choose to be gay?
I doubt it, but then again, I don't think I could ever choose to like pickles or ketchup, either.
Have you ever talked to a gay man? They will tell you they can not get it up for a woman. So how can they choose to be straight?
Maybe they can't. "Conversion therapy" won't be for them, obviously.

Those who choose to undergo it and end up "straight" get accused of being "bisexual." And that accusation might actually hold water.

So what? If they want to go through it, let them. You can tell them it's a hoax, you can tell them it's ineffective, but when you tell them it's illegal, that's when you're using government to push your values upon them.

If they can't get it up for any woman, how is that they sometimes marry, have kids and then reveal their homosexuality years later?

Look at Bruce Jenner. Assuming he's not going woman in order to be a lesbian .... which is possible in this crazy world ..... he has had 3 wives and has 6 children. Pretty strange for someone who wasn't a heterosexual man.
