The 47% figure was substantially correct.

We have a situation today where half the country lives off the work of the other half.

It is not what anyone wants to hear; whether you're retired on SS and you believe you paid for it yourself; or whether you are a lifetime taker or just temporarily on food stamps.

It doesn't matter.

Romney was essentially correct and the demagogues won the issue.

Not surprising. Democrats have always made the best demagogues.

CJ,
A lot of them voted for Romney.
Just like a lot of the so-called "one percent" voted for Obama.

The difference is that the dependents who voted for Romney don't want to be dependent anymore. They want opportunity, not more government.

The "one percenters" who voted for Obama, on the other hand, like remaining in the one percent and know that they don't have anything to lose despite the "99 percent" rhetoric of the Democratic Party.
