i am sorry if i cme across as new investor.. generally i am a trader and i am up at this ungodly hour because i have a large position in an adr based in singapore..
the foreign markets are as important to me as the american ones..
i invest and I day trade..
sometimes my day trades turn into investments and sometimes i am a happy camper.. traded novell.. on the scalp side a few times.. but did not sell correctly..
made money but could have made more.. this stock is actively traded and i was considering buy and hold..
finally cancelled my buy order{ which was below 7.5} looking from a technical traders point of view.. next resistance is the low for the year..
it breaks that and woo buddy we will see them running like scalded dogs..
as for investing advice.. man's worst vice is ad-vice.. i tell 'em to buy tbills.
only the strong survive..
best of luck..

Lawrence,

I don't think Novell is a knife that's still falling.......unlike MSFT, DELL, ORCL and many others going through a big correction right now. Novell's washed out, the stock is undervalued, they have new products, they are under acccumulation, although I can't speak much for their management at this time.

What would you have invested in earlier this week....Novell at 7 9/16s, or COMS, DELL, INTC, or MSFT. I'm still above water while these others are feeling the pain. I'm not bad mouthing these companies, I'm strictly speaking from a fundamental investment point of view.

So that is why I've decided to get in at this safe level. I can sleep at night and know it won't go much below 7.
