Apparently we both went to school at the same time so I'm kinda shocked that nobody even mentioned the Bible in your school... After we talked about it I noticed somewhere that it was 1962 when the Supreme Court cracked down on teaching religion in school. I certainly wasn't scarred by going to confirmation classes and maybe that's because I've always had an appreciation of history. Whether you believe in the Bible or not it is certainly a very historic document. PBS just had a series about Henry VIII and Cromwell and how they had a little tiff with Rome that led to the Church of England.
