This has been a remarkable year for the contest. Last year at this time, 9th place was:
9 NIGEL 5,252 or 5.2% Message 29539724

This year, Clark is in 9th place up 49.4%! That would be double last year's leader at this point!!!

Talk about a tough group to beat!! I've been very pleased with the fact I've snuck into the top 10 a few times in the past couple of weeks.

5/22/15 Contest update
It was another one of those weeks that make nervous nellies such as myself wonder who are those intrepid investors who keep pouring money into biotech stocks.
As it turned out, the Contest median closed Friday up 28.08% YTD (vs. up 23.00% YTD a week ago), the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 20.04% YTD (vs. up 17.19% YTD a week ago), while the smaller-cap S&P Biotechnology Select Industry Index was up 25.39% YTD (vs. up 21.28% YTD a week ago). The Nasdaq Composite Index was up 7.46% YTD (vs. up 6.59% YTD a week ago).
Contest leader DEWDIL’s portfolio, up 74.08% YTD, had a terrific week and pulled ahead of the pack. GUERL’s portfolio, up 60.29% YTD, moved into second place and DON’s portfolio, up 60.13% YTD, took over third place.
At Friday's close, 49 of the 51 Contest portfolios were in the black with a very impressive 34 beating the NBI and 30 beating the SPSIBI. The 206 Contest stock picks have an average YTD gain of 18.21%.
