Nope. LA to SF; Vancouver to Portland, NYC to Montreal, Chicago to St Louis, Chicago to MPLS, Chicago to Detroit. All routes that are growing and getting more popular. And those are just the ones I know about.

As for "starvation diet", that's a fantasy.

I repeat.........China has spent to date $300 billion on just hi speed rail alone......forget the rest of their rail network. Compare that to Amtrak's budget of $3.6 billion........that makes it a starvation diet for Amtrak. Sorry. No fantasy.
