Addi- So I guess you don't like Jimmy? :-) I was trying to give him some benefit of the doubt since he has been entertaining and has given Bill Wolman a straw man. Surprisingly, there were a lot of people on Wall Street who pretty much agreed with Jimmy until the more recent turn down in rates below 6.25% made this position untenable. It was always viewed as a "trading range" between 6.25% and 7.00%

Addi, the amazing thing is that Jimmy continues to show up, considering the razzing that Kathleen and Mark and others give him.

We'd all be beggars now if we took our cues from him and Jim Stack.

Jimmy Rogers, again

Addi,

Pretty much since I started getting interested in investments, stocks, etc. I read Barron's. Rogers has been on the year-end roundtable as long as I can remember. I was pretty impressed back then when I was less experienced about his normally very contrarian views.

Nowadays, I think if he invested as he told the world to, he should be about broke now and sure needs every penny for a show-up on TV or in Barron's or whereever.

Have you ever seen a Guru that lasted? Yes, this guy is history, for me anyway.

Thomas

<< If you go and get the latest Webster dictionary and look for the meanings of the following
words: imbecile, idiot, moron you will see 2 words are given as the description: Jimmy
Rodgers along with his picture wearing his funny bowe tie with his idiotic smile! >>

That's funny I thought next to the meanings for those words was a picture of Bill Alpert holding up his column from Barrons. COMS is down 15% from his hype piece.

<< The only reason he has become to be famous is because he co-managed the Quantum fund in the 70's which had great returns. However the main reason for the great performance is due to George Soros who was his boss/partner in managing the fund. George Soros left him in the late 70's >>

You are so full of it Addi. You need to get your facts straight. George Soros was not his boss. George Soros didn't "leave" him.

If Jimmy Rogers is so stupid how come he is a billionaire? Riding Soros coattails? Is that it?

You need to learn to respect your elders.
