Alex, you've captured the spirit of Christmas in this one. Beautiful descriptions! I love the lights. I really am beginning to fear for my sanity. Today I started singing "Winter Wonderland" and caught myself belting out the words "In the meadow we will build a snowman, and pretend that he is Possum Brown." I began giggling hysterically (Alone in the car. I'm sure someone saw me. This is a very small town.)

Living filigrees of pouring rainbows---really lovely, Alex! And you are off now for a week? So we should have had the office party today?? I bet no one has imagined your gifts yet! Janice hasn't even brought the Christmas gnomes out. You may think that LS can't get bigger---ha! Now the shapeshifting starts. Helen will sink and roil and push and LS will be heading for the bathroom every half hour. And then the Braxton Hicks contractions begin and the visit where the ob says "ah--you're 2 cm." and you think "YES! Tonight!" And the next week you go in and he says, "ah---you're 2 cm." Ooops-hit enter accidentally-so now I have to write fast and wish you a wonderful peaceful, restful Christmas. Your next one will not be, but will be a whole lot more fun! Honest! Love, penni
