Grammy, you may be right about MM manipulation on DIGL....the small float would make it easier to manipulate. DIGL had been a high flyer and it looks like the recent sell-off may be due fo several reasons but the most convincing one that I've found is the concern about meeting future earning's estimates. DIGL has a history of not meeting the estimates, they either blow them away or fail to meet expectations. When a stock carries such a high PE, the earnings are the whole story.

DIGL was a POW for us in Nov. Not much has changed other than two more analysts have initiated coverage: strong buys from Lowenbaum and Co 12/1 and Tucker Anthony, buy on 12/5.

So far we have Grammy and Jim in the pro DIGL corner and Kevin's
TA is indicating a breakdown. I have to throw my opinion into the pro corner for next week. DIGL looks like a buy to me right now.

Looking for opinions from the SWATs and all on DIGL.

Grammy, tonight after the bell:

<Digital Link Corp. (DLNK) 12 3/4 +2: manufacturer of high speed digital access products for wide area networks is warning that it sees a 4Q loss of $0.05 to $0.07 a share, well below the First Call estimate of $0.20 a share; company projects revenues of $14 to $14.5 mln; in the year-ago period, DLNK earned $0.19 a share on revenues of $15.72 mln...>

Pretty sneaky, coming out with this news on a friday night after the bell, just before Xmas. Maybe they are hoping that no one notices.
Looks like a short to me and maybe a hands off on DIGL just now.

Sergio

Sorry D. Graham, I think you lost that bet.

DIGL at $17 by this afternoon? Currently at 14.

I don't understand this concept that market makers are responsible for a 4-5 point drop in a stock with a 6 million share float and trading almost 200,000 shares daily on average. There's no way that kind of drop can be attributed to MMs.

I for one find all this talk of MMs being responsible for every stock dropping as sheer dillusional scapegoating. Why not blame the Republicans, or maybe El Nino. This is not directed only toward you david, but everyone else who has made a habit of this bit of misinformation.

Maybe the stock dropped because it's over valued and momentum investors who've doubled since summer are taking profits and dumping the stock. Huh? Wait aminute...that makes too much sense!
