Hey ya geeks! (It was a joke... Maybe I should've stayed away from the Honey Wheat over lunch) I was just happy to see Lawrence is human after all.

I've learned a lot more good things than bad from you guys. Guido hasn't broken my legs just yet. You can't get rid of me that quickly

Lawrence -

If you're not mad at me for my earlier rubs can you do me a favor? Take a look at the APM 10k that was filed today and give me your financial read. Did APM borrow an apple or not?

My personal experience is that margin debt of about 20% gives some upside and adds more pain in down markets than I care to experience. Fortunately, at 20% it is difficult to envision a margin call scenario. As many times as stocks like these lose 60 percent of their value, any higher margin becomes dangerous, not just painful. Unfortunately, I have tended to add the margin when things are coming down and starting to look cheap. Caught me this time and in the summer 1996 selloff. Owning some of your position (not a larger position) through longer term in the money options provides an element of insurance against catastrophic declines. My best luck with aggressiv estrategies has been to buy longer term options when the techs have been beaten up very badly (ie Quantum Dec 6 1/4 calls in summer 1996). Be prepared to lose 100% of your option investment.
