Another possibility for Elroy is to use an Apple Airport Express. The older models, using WiFi speeds 802.11 b/g/n, are available on eBay from time to time at pretty low prices. This listing is for $34.99 US.

Simply use the speaker out connection to connect to your stereo in. It plugs into a standard US wall outlet and is configured to your WiFi in System Preferences / Network. Once it's up and running, the device will appear as one of the output options in iTunes. As you can see, I like the Apple TV as well!

I don't know if I've posted this, but I've got the Chomecast device, and it works great. I can watch videos w/sound which are streamed from my PC to the TV.

A great product!

Also, I think we have the old one and it works great. I think Google has come out with a newer ChromeCast device. Not sure what the new one adds, but I'm very happy with the older version.
