It enforces clear standards for legally obtaining, keeping, and maintaining firearms.

We already have those and of course criminals follow exactly zero of them.

If his father gave him the gun, he can be held liable for doing so.

Right - good luck in court with that.

If Dylann bought the gun himself, he'd have to go through the registration process

If he did he already went through the NICS background check with recently enhanced mental health updates to keep guns out the hands of the mentally troubled. Have you ever bought a gun - do you even know what programs are in place?

Of course the criminals will find ways to get around the process


They always have and will - once again instituting programs that actually do nothing but grow government and create bureaucracy is not a solution.

why did the Fathers give us the 2nd amendment, who are the people the Fathers want to protect us from ?

and we are supposed to let those people know we have guns? really, do you think the Fathers would approve of that plan ?
