Nus,
Re -- It will be more like $0.25. AMD may have already signaled this to the street with a more rosy picture of the 1qrt 98 showing how they'll recoup'

The before tax loss is what counts. AMD's cash/short term investments will decrease accordingly. Remember Moody's AMD will consume more and more cash...

The road to chapter 11, is downhill.

AMD still hasn't figured out their size reduction for the .25u yet..They have a long way to go. Have you seen any k6-266 at the chipmerchant? The year has 2 more wks to go.

Greg , re. Psychology of earnings ...
You obviously have given a lot of thought to the subject , but
I have a feeling that you are wrong on 25c loss . I have my reasons but can't tell you why , suffice to say that it is not just based
on my speculation alone . However here is my own speculation .
The K6-233 price has come down more rapidly than was necessary from
the market's viewpoint , I believe that it indicates better yield than generally perceived . Also we have seen indications that 266mhz is in some manufacturers hands despite not being officially announced .
How good the K6 yield is in higher speed parts we don't know but the
indications are that is above 50% , one reason I believe is the .25
improvement in yield .
regards , Brian
PS Greg as I have mentioned on previous posts , one thing to keep in mind is the previous trading pattern of AMD' stock . It seems to be more related to tax loss and reinvestment cycles than actual improvement in profit picture .
