To everyone: Positive comments on the success of Sony Playstation in this week's Barrons. Comment made that Sony was experiencing such success with current product that new Playstation may not be made available until 2000. Perhaps this comment will help to remove some of the nervousness regarding LSI losing the Sony business as early as next year ? If LSI's sales to Sony are booming it doesn't say much about the rest of LSI's business given that top line growth is dismay. Perhaps the Sony business is all denominated in Yen therefore in dollar terms the growth does not appear to be so strong ? Finally, does LSI manufacture all its chips for Sony in Japan ? Thanks for comments everyone.
