GZ,

After a move up, the reversal pattern requires a number of bodies or "breaks." A 3 line break is when you get a series of 3 lower lows. Should the price get above the prior reversal point BEFORE the bearish reversal pattern is completed, then the higher high adds to the previous move up pattern and it starts again.

The point is, with a 9 line break, it must be powerful indeed to register... and there have only been 24 of them in the past 24 years - average one per year. The obvious ones are covered... 1987, 89 and 94 etc. BUT NONE OF THEM EXHIBIT THE CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CURRENT ONE... THREE POWERFUL MOVES DOWN... AS OPPOSED TO 1987 WHICH WAS ONLY 2!

Help me out on this people, this is MY understanding!

Bill
